Under the advisor, Mr. Scott Lazarus, the 2025-2026 National Technical Honor Society welcomed 28 new inductees into it's esteemed fellowship bringing the total number of members to 55. A beautiful candlelit ceremony was held at Parkway in front of family, home school administration and staff, and Parkway staff.

Congratulations to Mr. Huck Hughes for being awarded the AWS Pittsburgh Section Welding Educator of the Year! This recognition highlights his dedication and passion for shaping the future of welding education. What made the moment even more meaningful was having some of his students there to celebrate this achievement with him. Mr. Hughes expressed heartfelt gratitude to the AWS Pittsburgh Section, school administrators, Joint Operating Committee members, staff, and—above all—his incredible students. This honor reflects the strength of the community and the collective effort that drives the program forward. With big plans on the horizon, Mr. Hughes and the team are committed to building a welding program that sets a new standard of excellence for students. Together, they’re creating a future to be proud of!
