Health Occupations Technology Instructor

Thinking about a career change? Does making a difference in the lives of children interest you? Then consider the following teaching opportunity at Parkway West Career and Technology Center (PWCTC). PWCTC has a permanent position beginning the 2021-2022 school year for a Registered Nurse professional to teach high school aged students. We will assist the selected candidate in the process to obtain the proper clearances and permanent certification that is required to hold and maintain the position.

Potential candidate qualifications include: Prior experience teaching in a state approved Nurse Aide Training Program or one (1) year of experience in a long-term care setting, completion of the “Teaching the Educator Workshop” or willingness to obtain, BLS Instructor, and ability to instruct Pharmacy Technician, Patient Care Technician and Phlebotomy.

The potential candidate needs a minimum of five (5) years’ verifiable employment experience in the Healthcare Industry as a Registered Nurse within the last 10 years. Candidate should also be familiar with fostering relationships with healthcare organizations in the community. Candidate must be able to meet time deadlines, have an intrinsic desire to work with high school students, excellent organizational skills and exemplary communication skills. Candidate must be able to obtain required clearances if chosen for the position.

Electrical Systems Technology Instructor

PWCTC has a permanent position beginning the 2021-2022 school year for a Electrician to teach high school aged students. We will assist the selected candidate in the process to obtain the proper clearances and permanent certification that is required to hold and maintain the position.

Potential candidate qualifications include: Potential candidate qualifications include the ability to interpret and apply skills necessary to install, operated, maintain, and repair residential, commercial, and industrial electrical systems. Including but not limited to electrical system rough-in, service entrance installation, and troubleshooting.

The potential candidate needs a minimum of five (5) years’ verifiable employment experience in the Electrical Industry beyond the learning level in the last 10 years. Candidate must be able to meet time deadlines, have an intrinsic desire to work with high school students, excellent organizational skills and exemplary communication skills. Candidate must be able to obtain required clearances if chosen for the position.
